The Engage North Internship Program provides four-month placements with community-based organizations in Canada’s North. The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students studying at a relevant field at any Canadian University. In Summer 2017 (May – August), six Intership and three Fellowship opportunities are available in three communities: Yellowknives Dene First Nation, NWT; Dene Tha’ First Nation, Alberta; and Beaver First Nation, Alberta. Prior to the placement, interns and fellows will participate in a comprehensive pre-departure training program, and will be matched with a technical advisor/mentor who will assist with any technical challenges encountered.
Applications and more information for Engage North’s 2017 Internships and Fellowships are available HERE (2017 competition is now closed).
